Open Night and Kite Flying Day
Last night it was ‘all hands on deck’ to create a kite that will fly.
Parents and kids were engrossed in the task, resulting in many varieties of shapes, sizes and ‘flight readiness’. Some even had elegant decorations. One family was working on their third kite for the evening! After last night, I doubt there’s any sticky tape left in classrooms.
Thanks to our parents for showing such a keen interest in your child’s education and bringing them to school after hours. Thanks also to Ms McKay and the CBD for their lovely and heartfelt performance. Thanks also to the staff for being here late and for being so welcoming to our community, particularly at this busy ‘report writing‘ time of the year.
Reminder that Friday is the kite flying day, so keep your fingers crossed for some wind. It is also a casual clothes day.
